Migraine symptoms include at least 2 of the following:
- headache on one side of the head,
- pain that's moderate to severe,
- and in quality throbbing or pulsing,
- or it is made worse by routine activity.
You only have to have two of those four pain characteristics to meet diagnostic criteria for the headache phase of migraine.
You will also have one of four symptoms which are nausea, and/or vomiting and sensitivity to light, (sometimes called photo phobia), and sensitivity to sound (phono phobia).
